Retail Stocktake Physical Count at the Store POS System

Aralco Retail Management & POS Systems allow you to prepare for stock-taking swiftly and accurately by taking a snapshot of your inventory file of a specific location or store that is used to compare actual physical count against electronic or computer records.

Physical stock count at each location or store does not affect normal operations e.g. sales processing, goods receiving, transfers can continue to take place - this is one of Aralco's key features with the on-going and post-stock-taking session/s does not "freeze-up" your back office and stores' operations.

At the stock-taking location, users are able to use 3 ways of count entries concurrently:

  • Portable handheld barcode terminals
  • Via POS or workstation's keyboard
  • POS's barcode scanner

A better solution with fully flexible and more time-saving features from Aralco Retail Systems:

  • Provides ample opportunity to enter, check and correct count entries
  • Printed count sheets for manual inventory - ideal for inventory by department
  • Data from handhelds can be imported to Back Office directly or via POS terminal
  • Discrepancy report available immediately after importing Physical Count records
  • Counted items report by store indicates on-hand quantities, shortages/overages, cost & retail values of discrepancies
  • Uncounted items report by location shows products overlooked or missing from the count

Besides physical stock-taking, the same portable hand-held terminal can be used for other stock processing functions with any Aralco Back Office Systems and the POS systems such as:

  • Sales Processing
  • Sales Order
  • Stock Transfer
  • Goods Receiving
  • Return to Vendor
